Biography
Mr. Skolnick is a skilled and empathetic licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with years of varied experiences ranging from inpatient psychiatric work, in-home community-based work, and outpatient therapy. He brings a direct and supportive approach to therapy through the comprehensive use of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic theory all with a trauma informed lens.
Scott’s passion lies with working with individuals across the lifespan, from children aged 10 and above to adolescents and adults. He specializes in addressing a spectrum of concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD/neurodivergence, trauma, life transitions, and relationship dynamics. Scott enjoys working with athletes of all ages and abilities to enhance mental and physical performance, as well as first responders who have experienced chronic trauma exposure.
Scott obtained his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University while working at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Center on both the child and adolescent, and adult units, and completed his master’s degree in clinical social work at Boston College where he focused on mental health.
