Biography
Ms. Almella works as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, treating adults with a history of anxiety disorders, life transitions, perinatal and postpartum anxiety and depression, self-esteem issues, and issues in interpersonal relationships. Daniela is dedicated to her clients’ holistic well-being and place and emphasis on self-compassion and empathy to help them reach their full potential.
She employs a variety of modalities, primarily using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a trauma-informed approach, but adapts based on individual needs, often implementing mindfulness, motivational interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, and solution-focused therapy for individuals with depression, anxiety disorders, life transitions, relationships/family issues and dynamics, trauma, women’s issues, LGBTQ, and substance use recovery.
Daniela obtained her bachelor’s in psychology from Florida State University and graduated from Boston University with a master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine.
